0610/05: 15 Minutes for Parishioners Questions:
One Parishioner attended the meeting, and put the following concerns:-
The bolts are still protruding on the seat at the Memorial Garden.
The Horsebox problem still remains.
The Footway/Kerbstones/Weeds at Langmead need inspecting by Devon County Council
The Clerk would again contact both the Police and Devon County Council regarding these matters.
0610/06: County and District Council Reports:
Devon County Councillor Mr.R.Cann presented the following information:-
It is hoped that a scheme will be ready for presentation to a July meeting regarding the A39 Westleigh Junction.
A review is being taken undertaken of its Farms Estates; DCC own 84. Farms within the County.
Bus Congestion at Marine Parade, Instow.
DCC. On Street Parking Policy. Consultations are already underway in several areas.
Sand Footpaths at Marine Parade; also additional design works for Passing Area at Marine Parade .
Grant to be given to North Devon Cricket Club for replacement of rotten windows and protective mesh within pavilion changing rooms.
Cllr.Cann has offered the parish council funds from his locality budget for the supply and erection of another seat at the Memorial Gardens. The Chairman agreed to have a site meeting with Cllr.Cann regarding actual location.
North Devon District Councillor Mr.B.Moores presented the following information:-
Unauthorised Development Update EMF206 Lester House, and EMF626 White Lodge- Notices have been served.
Additional Funding for the Rough Sleeper Project.
Joint working with both Torridge District Council and Mid Devon District Council.
Affordable Housing has been part funded by North Devon District Council for the scheme at Granary Court,Bear Street, Barnstaple.
Powers on Housing and Planning to Local Councils.
Community Councillor Grants -: All Saints Chapel provide a community drop in centre for older people, in Instow, Westleigh and Yelland.
Instow Cricket Club ground improvements.
Replacement of Seat at Blackgate, Westleigh.
